Delete Your EchoFM Account & Data

This page explains how to request deletion of your EchoFM account and associated data. EchoFM is developed by EchoFM (echo.nowake.dev). Signing in is optional — EchoFM's radio and podcast playback works fully without an account — but if you signed in with Google, this page covers how to have that account and its data removed.

How to request deletion

1. Open our contact form (no account or app install required to use it).
2. Select "Account & data deletion" (or state this clearly in your message) and include the email address you used to sign in to EchoFM, so we can locate your account.
3. Submit the request. We'll confirm receipt and process the deletion.

What data is deleted

Once your request is processed, we permanently delete from our servers:

• Your account record — name, email address, profile photo URL and unique account identifier.
• Your Premium subscription status and renewal linkage stored on our servers.
• Any listening statistics you had opted to back up to our servers (e.g. play time, top artist/track recaps).
• Your push notification token.

What may be retained, and for how long

• Purchase records — Google Play, not EchoFM, is the merchant of record for Premium purchases. Google retains its own transaction records under Google's policies; we cannot delete those on Google's behalf. Any purchase token copy we hold is deleted as part of your account deletion.
• Legal/financial obligations — if we are required by law (e.g. tax or fraud-prevention obligations) to retain minimal records of a transaction, we retain only what's legally required and delete it once that obligation expires.
• On-device data — favorites, playlists, play history, downloaded lyrics/artwork cache and app settings are stored only on your device and are not something we hold or delete remotely; uninstalling EchoFM or clearing its app data removes these immediately.
